Defeat Rep. Tom Marino

In September 2017, President Donald Trump nominated Marino to serve as the Director of the Office of National Drug Control Policy (“drug czar”).[15][1] In October, Senator Joe Manchin (D-WV) called on Trump to withdraw Marino’s nomination.[20]Trump said he would “look into” reports about Marino, putting his nomination in question.[21] On October 17, 2017, Marino withdrew his nomination.[2]

WHAT IS THE PURPOSE OF THE DISABILITY RIGHTS DEMONSTRATION WHICH IS A LEVITATING LOVE IN?

A bizarre loophole in PA law attempting to legislate the ADA‘s requirement for disability access made it possible for State College’s new restaurant Cafe Verve to receive an operating license. The loophole made it possible for Cafe Verve’s owners to make the restaurant’s bathroom wheel chair accessible, but not the entrance.

At the Valentine’s Day Love In, please encourage the seven members of the State College Borough Council to request that Rep. Scott Conklin and Senator Jake Corman seek bipartisan support in the Commonwealth legislature to ensure that no new restaurant in PA receive an operating license unless its entrance is wheel chair accessible.

In loving memory of Phil Ochs, let us end segregation and marginalization of the disabled and elderly here in State College PA.
