Sometimes, seemingly out of nowhere (a synonym for Canada) a great leader emerges. MP Michel Rampel is a great leader. I would follow her anywhere.
That is because I trust her. I have heard the great orations she has delivered in Parliament in Tornonto with great admiration. MP Rampel is a feminist and an articulate spokesman I have a speial kind of tenderness toward Alberta where so much of the hard work that makes America great is taking place on wheat farms and petroleum fields.
Commodity prices have been at dangerous lows. When a wheat farmer cannot make ends meet, then eventually she will stop farming. Then, the world which needs her wheat will not get it. That is a bad thing.
Letter-to-PMJT-Calgary-StampedeA bright ray of light in this dreadful pandemic is that grain and soybean prices, previously at dangerously low levels is now rising. Perhaps, that will ameliorate the current level of economic pain that pervades Alberta as the energy issue (loved/hated/loved/hated by the feckless pretty boy liberals that as with the Prime Minister are all charm and no substance ) falls into disrepair and as does the morale of central Canada where the salt of the earth (characters straight out of Thorstein Wilder’s My Hometown).
Because I trust MP Rempel, I urge you to follow her as I am doing and insist that when July rolls around, the grand Canadian rodeo will appear. After all, a bucking bronco cannot spread Corona virus as long as it is six feet away from you.
